We all know that Walt Disney World is full of amazing big-ticket attractions. The only problem is that those attractions can get very busy and often have long lines. Sometimes we overlook some super awesome (and less crowded) things in the “world”. Next time you are at Disney, check out one of these underrated Walt Disney World Attractions! Let me know if I missed your favorites on this list!

Tomorrowland at Walt Disney World

Magic Kingdom

Carousel of Progress

Tomorrowland is a pretty amazing place in the Magic Kingdom. Part of the reason I love it so much is because it has two of my favorite attractions! The Carousel of Progress is a Disney original that was created for the 1964-65 NY World’s Fair. This 21-minute audio-animatronic show allows you to travel through time as you experience innovation throughout the ages. It’s a cute show, there is never a wait, plus you get to sit in AC. And just try to get that song out of your head!

Tomorrow Land Transit Authority People Movers

My other love in Tomorrowland is the People Movers! When I was a kid, Disneyland had a version of this ride and I LOVED it! When I discovered the Walt Disney World version I was ecstatic! The ride takes you on a slow-ish moving tour of Tomorrowland giving you a sneak peek at all the attractions. You also get a glimpse of Walt’s original model of Epcot!

Alien Swirling Saucers

While Slinky Dog might be getting all the attention in Toy Story Land, this ride is worth a spin! I wouldn’t wait in too long of a line for this, but if there is a short wait check it out! The decorations around the attraction are super cute, and you can’t help but smile as the Aliens toss you around!

Muppet Vision 3D

It’s been a while since I’ve checked out this 3D show, but I remember it being very entertaining. Sure it’s a bit dated now, but the gags and theater experience make it a great way to spend some time (also out of the heat and in AC). If you have some Muppet fans in your group, this is a must-see!

Epcot

Living with the Land

Even if you are not an avid gardener, this ride is a relaxing escape. The slow-moving boat ride takes a look at our Earth and how we can farm in sustainable and responsible ways. The food they grow in the garden area is used throughout the parks, but especially in the nearby restaurant Garden Grill. I remember riding this attraction when I was a kid, and I always love seeing what new things are growing, plus you gotta love the hidden Mickeys!

Nemo?!

The Seas with Nemo and Friends

This area of the park includes a cute Nemo dark ride and an aquarium. Full disclosure, the ride is just fine, but I LOVE the aquarium! If you enjoy aquariums like me, this area is great for relaxing and taking a break from the crowds and sun.

Movies in World Showcase

There are several movies within the World Showcase that highlight that area’s culture. Many people overlook these, but they are a great way to enhance your World Showcase experience. Just check when the showings are, and stop by. That walk around the lagoon can get pretty hot, why not take a break and learn a little something while you’re at it?

Animal Kingdom

Trails

Most of the attractions at Animal Kingdom are pretty great and pretty popular. One often overlooked aspect of the park is the trails. After all, Animal Kingdom is about the animals, and these trails give you a chance to appreciate them. Check them out on your next visit, you will not be disappointed!

  1. Don’t forget the tiki room! That was a great way to get out of the heat and no wait too! Plus super nostalgic for me!

  2. The PeopleMover is one of my favorite rides of all time. It is always a walk on and it entertains my young children for hours. Disneyland needs to get it together and bring it back.
