My family recently ventured over to Disney’s Caribbean Beach resort in Walt Disney World to try some tropical-themed eats! I had heard some great things about Sebastian’s Bistro, not gonna lie it was mainly about the bread pudding, so I had to try it for myself! Read on for my full Sebastian’s Bistro at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort Review!

Reservations

As soon as my 60-day reservation window opened I grabbed the exact time slot I wanted for Sebastian’s Bistro. Though, the beauty of this place is that you can get reservations closer to your arrival date. You do not have to play the 60-day early wake-up game. Just note that the earlier you book, the better chance you have of getting exactly what you want!

Getting There

Caribbean Beach Resort is HUGE. Keep that in mind when planning on getting to the restaurant. We were staying at the Riviera Resort and had a really nice walk over to Caribbean Beach. The Skyliner was actually farther from the restaurant than walking from Riviera (though we did take it on the way back because our little one is obsessed).

Just make sure you have plenty of time to get there if you aren’t staying nearby!

Ambiance

True to the name, Sebastian’s Bistro is themed to Ariel’s friend Sebastian and there are nods to him throughout the restaurant. One note about the ambiance that could be positive or negative is that the music is all songs sung by the crab himself. It was… interesting. Most of them were ok, it was definitely unique!

Most of the restaurant has a beachy calm feel, which I really enjoyed. There’s a lot of attention to detail which made it feel very special!

Eats!

One thing to note is that Sebastian’s Bistro is “all you care to enjoy”. This means there’s a set menu that you can eat as much as you want. You can also pay for extra add-ons to complement the meal, which we did not, and I cannot imagine eating anything more than what came with the meal itself! Alcohol is available for purchase. Pricing as of May 2023 is $35.00 a person, $19.00 for guests ages 3-9.

Sebastian's Bistro salad

Salad and Bread

First up was the spice necklace salad and pull-apart rolls. The rolls are a favorite at Sebastian’s, and I can see why! They were warm and fresh, and the guava butter and caramelized onion jam on the side were an excellent addition!

The salad was sweet and fresh with kale, pumpkin seeds, tropical fruit, and a key lime dressing. I thought this salad was amazing! I loved how all the flavors came together. My husband and I had a hard time controlling ourselves with this first course since we knew we had more food coming out way! Tasty stuff!

Sebastian's Bistro main course

Main Course

The main course comes with three sides and several proteins. Our meal came with rice and beans, curried vegetables, and broccolini on the side. We also had pork, chicken, fish, and beef.

Sebastian's Bistro sides

The sides were mostly forgettable, though not bad. I really didn’t care for the rice and beans, and everything else was just ok.

As for the protein, my kiddo loved the chicken, which was amazing since he’d been eating mostly pizza on vacation. My husband LOVED the fish, he said it was perfectly cooked. I loved the pork, though it reminded me of a dish I make myself. I didn’t try the steak since I was getting very full, and we had just had a VERY GOOD steak for breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace at breakfast. My husband said it was decent, but not amazing. Overall, tasty stuff, but it really depends on your preference for what you might gravitate towards.

Dessert

This is the star of the show, so make sure you leave room! The coconut-pineapple bread pudding was an amazing way to finish off our meal! I wanted to eat it all, but I was unfortunately stuffed! Though, the server did comment on us doing “pretty good” at eating it… I will take that as a compliment! Warm, sweet bread pudding with a gooey caramel sauce drizzled over the top was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I’m working my way through all the best bread puddings at Disney, and this is definitely on the list!

Sebastian's Bistro drink

Drinks

We grabbed some alcoholic tropical drinks at Sebastian’s. They do cost extra (and they were NOT cheap!). At least they were STRONG (which is a pro or con depending on how you view it). The drink I got was the Tallawah Punch, which was tasty! If you love ginger beer, this drink will make you happy. It was sneaky though, and stronger than I realized. My husband got the Mai Tai and it was STRONG. Like so strong that he had maybe half the drink and said there was no way he could finish it. I had a sip and it was not my favorite thing. So we left that drink unfinished.

Is Sebastian’s Bistro Worth Its?

This meal is one of the best deals on Disney property! For an “all you care you enjoy” meal, it’s an excellent choice. It is well-themed, though not a character meal, so this might be a drawback for some. Also, it can be a bit of a trek to get to unless you are staying nearby. It is located next to the pool, gift shop, quick service, and playground area. So, if you have the time it can be a fun afternoon exploring Caribbean Beach resort! Overall. we really enjoyed our meal! The food, service, price, and even those crazy strong drinks made it a wonderful and memorable experience! Maybe next time we will fast before we go so we can finish that bread pudding! 😉
