Hi! I’m Rachel. Here is a little background about me here at Running – Disney – Travel! I am a California native who moved to Texas and lived there for eight years. I married the love of my life and moved to Tennessee to be with him. We have a baby boy and are navigating the exciting world of travel with a toddler!
I have three very clear passions in my life which are Running, Disney, and Travel. One day it hit me- I should write a blog about this stuff! So here I am! I am a research and media NERD, I tend to dive deep into topics and find out as much as I can about them! Let ME do some of the planning and research so you don’t have to! With so much change in my life right now I know I am in for a pretty interesting journey,!
Running:
I started running in my late 20s with a local running group in Texas. After moving to Tennessee I now run mostly solo. In 2014 I ran my first half marathon, then my first marathon in 2015. Since then I have been HOOKED! I run as often as I can. I usually have some sort of race on my calendar, though these days I am trying to enjoy the sport rather than race as hard as I used to. I’ve definitely had a case of runner burnout, so reconnecting with my joy is really important to me!
Disney:
I grew up in California and went to Disneyland every year for our family trips. I lived and breathed Disney movies, cartoons, and…. pretty much anything related to Disney. The first thing I remember writing was a biography of Walt Disney when I was in elementary school. My Disney love runs deep. Now that I live outside of California I go to Walt Disney World as much as I can with my husband and kiddo. I am constantly keeping up to date on all Disney-related news, podcasts, and blogs. Disney has been and will always be one of my happy places.
Travel:
I love to travel, and I especially love planning trips! I sometimes think that I enjoy the planning and anticipation more than the trips themselves. Regardless, I intend on traveling more in the future since my husband has the travel bug too. I always like to have a trip on the horizon or I get a little stir-crazy. Where will we go next? Let’s find out!
