With the Disney parks’ re-opening being very uncertain right now, I’ve channeled my #Disneylove into something else…. treats! I know this expression of my love isn’t the healthiest one, but it sure tastes amazing! It’s no secret that I love Disney food; my husband loves to comment on how drastically different my diet is when I’m at Disney. What can I say, things taste better with that added Disney park magic! Lately, we have whipped up a few recipes from the parks at home. Read on to see how you can create Disney park treats at home!
Mickey Pancake
Ok, so this isn’t the most original idea (or the prettiest). But this was our first attempt at making a Mickey pancake at home. It tasted excellent and inspired us to make more exciting treats!
Cinnamon Rolls
I saw this recipe on Disney Food Blog and I had to try it! We’d never made cinnamon rolls from scratch, but with all this free time lately, we decided to give them a try. These are the old recipe from the Main Street Bakery, though the rolls at Gaston’s Tavern in the Magic Kingdom are very similar. I never experienced the OG rolls at Main Street Bakery, but holy moly, if they tasted like these bad boys, I’d say they were a masterpiece!
I’m not gonna lie, we made a few small tweaks (like using sugar-free vanilla pudding mix because that’s what the grocery store gave us, ugh), but it didn’t hurt the end product AT ALL! These rolls take some planning and love to make, they have four rises in the recipe, but it is time well spent my friends. As I ate the gooey warm roll I had “Heaven is a Place on Earth” playing in my head. They were transportive! If you like cinnamon rolls and want to kill some time, go and make these! Yum!
Dole Whip
I will be the first to admit that I am NOT a die-hard Dole whip fan. Though when I saw the My Disney Experience app post a very easy copy-cat recipe, I had to try it!
The original Dole whip is dairy-free, and the posted recipe includes ice cream. So, we know it’s not 100% the same. It is three ingredients, frozen pineapple, pineapple juice, and vanilla ice cream. Mix it up in the blender and voila! I personally enjoyed the concoction much more than the stuff at the parks. I know true Dole Whip fans might not enjoy this as much as me, but it did taste similar to the parks’ version. So, if you want to try an EASY park copy-cat, check it out!
Jack-Jack Num Num Cookies
I talked about these a few weeks ago in my “Ways to Bring Disney Magic into Your Home Life” post. These cookies are served warm at the parks on both coasts. We loved making them and LOVED eating them even more! They are perfect for any chocolate chip cookie fan. Bake up a batch and watch the Incredibles for a fun family night!
Black Magic Margarita
For all the adult Disney park fans, you know that there are plenty of tasty alcoholic drink concoctions there! We watched an Instagram live stream of La Cava Del Tequila’s mixologist (@artofdrinknyc) making a special margarita. He created it with Neil Patrick Harris and called it the “Black Magic Margarita”. They were serving it up at La Cava in EPCOT before the park closure. We were intrigued by the Mezcal in the drink (and because we love NPH) and decided to give it a try.
The result was a smoky and sweet delight. It definitely packs a punch, so be ready for that! While I probably prefer my margaritas with tequila, this was an interesting twist on a classic. I would suggest adding more ice than you think you need if you like a thick blended beverage. Our second attempt at making this turned out perfect. Hopefully, we can compare it to the one in EPCOT someday!
Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich & Bar
If all this baking and blending isn’t your style, pick up some pre-made goodness! We’ve bought Mickey bars at the grocery store a few times (and they are excellent!). We recently picked up the ice cream sandwiches to try. While I haven’t had one in the parks, I can imagine them being perfect for those hot Florida days. I enjoy the Mickey bars more, but these were a sweet and new treat to try!
I may be slowing down on my baking adventures after this round of goodies. Maybe it’s time to move on to pickling or salad making… 😉 Though I have NO REGRETS about making or eating any of these Disney park delights! Go ahead and create your own treats and bring a little magic into your kitchen and your belly!

I got hungry looking at all the yummy food. Especially the cinnamon rolls. Great article
I’ve been looking for a good dole whip recipe to try! Thank you!
We were supposed to be in Disney right now but had to post-pone it with the quarantine. My daughter really wanted to try to Mickey waffles but I might try the pancakes instead. I think she will still like it, thanks for the ideas!
So many creative ideas! Thanks for sharing them (:
