Are you feeling the Disney park withdrawals lately? I know we sure are at Running-Disney-Travel! Our first wedding anniversary is in May, and we had an awesome Walt Disney World trip planned. Every day it’s looking less likely that we are going to be able to go on that trip, or anywhere for that matter. During times like these, we need ALL the Disney magic we can get in our lives! Keep reading for some fantastic ways to bring Disney magic into your home life!

Disney+ & Movie Night!
First, and most obviously, Disney movies and Disney+ are always excellent ways to entertain and remind us of why we love the Disney brand. We’ve been on a Pixar streak lately. We started watching the new flick, Onward (it’s cute, check it out on Disney+!), then moved on to Up, Brave, and Ratatouille!
If you haven’t watched The Imagineering Story and One Day in Disney on Disney+, you need to get on it! They are perfect shows for the Disney obsessed. If you are like me and LOVE Disney park history and glimpses behind the scenes, you will definitely find these binge-worthy!
Disney Music
Nothing makes me smile more than singing along to my favorite Disney tunes! I may sometimes workout to Aladdin and Lion King jams, it makes my morning just a wee bit better.
You can also do a little research and find music from the parks. If you want some background music while you work that makes you feel transported to the most magical place in the world, Disney park loops are for you!
Ride Throughs
Did you know that you can ride most attractions at the Disney parks worldwide virtually? With a little internet/youtube.com searching, you can find TONS of excellent ride through videos! Since I’ve been missing the Disney parks pretty badly lately, I decided to watch a few of these. It was so fun to “ride” some of my favorite attractions, plus some global park rides that I’ve never visited before!
Pro tip: This is also a great way to introduce kids to rides before going to the parks. Try out the virtual ride at home and see if they are okay with them or not!
Podcasts and Vlogs
Listen to some Disney related podcasts or watch Disney vlogs! I have a pretty decent list of Disney podcasts that I listen to and Vlogs I watch. My favorite Vlogs are Disney Food Blog and The Dis Unplugged. For podcasts, I enjoy Unlocking the Magic and Mouse Chat. There are MANY options out there, so look around and see what you find!
Disney Merch
Enjoy all those wonderful Disney items you’ve purchased from past trips. My favorite and most used items are my Disney mugs/cups and aprons. It seems like we can never get enough Disney park merch for our kitchen!
Cook Disney Recipes & Eat Disney Snacks
Another fun activity to bring that magic home is to cook Disney food! There are countless recipes online. Personally, I love a good Mickey waffle or pancake. Also, you can find the beloved Mickey bars (yes, the ones you get at the parks) at most grocery stores now!
We just found the recipe for the Incredibles’ Jack-Jack’s Num Num Cookies. You can buy these fresh-made cookies at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World resorts. Making them at home was fun and delicious! I haven’t had them in the parks, so it was a great way to try them! Check out my full post on all the Disney Treats we’ve made at home!
Disney Board Games
There are plenty of fun Disney board games out there. We love Disney Codenames and Villainous. There is no better time than now to try a new board game with the family!
Make Disney Lists
I love making lists. Maybe that’s not everyone’s jam, but it can be a lot of fun to think of your favorite things about Disney! Make a list of your favorite Disney movies, rides, or food! The possibilities are endless!
Perhaps a more practical list to make is a “Disney Wishlist”. Make lists of all the Disney park things you want to do. Some list ideas could be food items to try or places you want to eat. I always have an ongoing “must try” list of snacks and restaurants. These lists are excellent to bring along on your next park trip!
Trip Planning
Lastly, plan your next trip! Nothing makes me happier than planning a Disney vacation. Times are tough now, and many of us have had to change our plans, but things will settle down eventually. Start planning your next trip now (even if you don’t book it yet) to help you get through the missing Disney blues. We have started looking at dates for later this year in hopes that we can still go again in 2020. We are Disney dreaming and ready to get back to the magic! Hang in there, we will get through these crazy times!
I hope these ideas give you something new to enjoy and help to bring a little Disney magic into your everyday. How do you bring Disney into your home? Let me know in the comments!

Great ideas! I’m going to check out those shows now!
Love each of these ideas! The Disney movies and music definitely makes me feel as if I’ve been transported to Disneyland.
My husband and I were also supposed to leave May 9 for our one year old first trip-and hair cut! Your post made me smile that we’re not alone.
Thank you!
That’s tough. We will all get through this!
Love this!! 🙂 we just got Disney+ and have been loving every moment haha, these tips along side are great
Hey!
This is so awesome! I love these ideas. My family and I absolutely love Disney and can’t wait to go again once the park opens back up. These ideas are great to give us some Disney magic in the mean time. I did not know they did virtual rides, that is so cool. I can’t wait to check it out. And thank you so much for sharing Jack Jacks cookie recipe. I’ve been looking for a good Disney copycat recipe to surprise my kids. This will be perfect! I haven’t had them yet at the park, but I have heard people rave about them, so I’m excited to give it a try and then compare once I can try them in the park. I’m going to start planning out next trip now, it will give us something to look forward to. Thanks so much!
